RECONDITION & REPAIR
Draughty, binding or inoperable casements and doors are an all too familiar problem for many period property owners. Our recondition and draught seal service will restore your casement windows and doors to proper working order, stopping rattles and controlling those intrusive cold draughts. By controlling the draughts we also reduces the airborne noise & dust being carried into your home.
Many old casements & doors have suffered due to a break down of the inferior animal glues that were commonly used during construction. This has resulted in open mortice & tenon joints that are susceptible to fungal and insect attack. These can be repaired, using modern adheasives to ensure a prolonged life for the frame.
We also undertake glazing repairs and attend to missing putties. |

Our recondition & draughtseal procedure for casement windows & doors includes:

Our weather seals allows for expansion and contraction of the wood, alleviating the problem of binding during damp weather.
